She doesn't sound like a credible expert, does she?

Just watched Thank You For Smoking and man is that movie good. To make a character that literally bullshits nonstop about something that kills people and make that character completely likable is no small feat. I'm saying this is Filet Mignon, I really loved it.

I've been listening to lots of new music lately, spanning a broad, broad range. I got some nice metal, Isis being an interesting progressive metal band and Sunn O))), which is an interesting drone/ambient metal that offers something I haven't heard before. Got some Jawbreaker which is nice quasi-emo punk that is simply amazing.

Gogol Bordello is in the mix, which is really odd and describe themselves as gypsy punk, which seems to be as good a way to say it as any. An indie rock style band called Frog Eyes that I heard of because one of it's members is in Swan Lake with Dan Bejar of Destroyer and New Pornographers fame.

Architecture in Helsinki is an Australian band, which brings odd instrumentation and an indie sensibility. A slick Ghostface Killah album fills my rap needs with post-Wu Tang styles and it is piping hot. The new ... and you will know us by the trail of dead album is decent and I need to give it another listen. The Knife has some interesting abstract electronic sounds.

I'll finish with an artist that's a timeless classic, Tom Waits. I got his new three disc set, but haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet. Too few hours in the day.
